Be a succesful professional is a desire of everyone. English is very important for us even though English is not the native language of Indonesian. Higher education is also important for those who want to survive in this modern era. Higher education and experience are needed to get higher level of job or career we want. Education needs to be employment oriented. One of education is learn English. I think it’s fun to learn English. Many of us had enrolled in English classes to improve our English skill. We do that because we need to use correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and make it as a habit in our daily life. Do you ever feel that someone who can speak English perfectly will get a great future in his life?? I’ve ever. Saw my friend with his ability in English , made me think world was his. (maybe it’s overdo ..big word.. :p). Yeah, I doubted my future at that time. Feels like life has no meaning, so gloomy. Hahahaha… But I woke up with this feeling, that better things are coming my way. ( hopeful :))
People go for the school and college education of English as a preparation for their occupation. Every company has a different way to recruit people to become their employee. Most of them decide English as a soft skill that applicants should have. In foreign business or international company, English is considered indispensable. English needed in formal and informal condition in that business. An international company uses English for business administration and for the daily life cycle of the company it self. Saying the right words at the right time can make a great deal of cooperation between two companies. It’s very important for great gainful employment. Who is the actor? People with a great skill of course. It will be you and me. . The power and magic of words must never be underestimated. Whichever career we may choose, we need to interact with people. Having a good vocabulary can be a great asset when it comes to interviews and discussions. For good communications skills, we must have a command over language. Career levels become applicable to such employees who are qualified, competent, aggressive, competitive, career-minded and make a positive effect to the business. If we were a boss, we wouldn’t want to hire someone who can't represent their company in a favorable light, right?
It’s better for us to speak English as early as possible. Sometimes it feels like English has no meaning, but I know English will be needed in the future. Sometimes I wish I could turn back time because I want to speak English since I could speak. Hope my mom and dad talked to me by using English since I was born. And then I called them mom and dad not mama and papa as a language of Indonesia, I wish I were.studied in international school. Hehehe… . But I thank God, because my siblings realized that English was necessary for our future. We practiced English since we’re have cell phone. It happened when I was in junior high school and my old brother and sister were in senior high school. They were outside of the town. We made a agreement to communicated by using English if we want to communicated one another. But that was not talking directly but by sent message by short message service. It helped us much even many words were mixed with language of Indonesia. We do that slowly and gradually till now. Glad to be a part of this family. (Miss you much guys ^0^).
The importance of English is not just in how many people speak it but what it is used for. English is spoken by more people than any other language. A good vocabulary and correct knowledge of grammar can certainly work wonders. . If we want to be part of the international world, English is not only essential but it is a great help. It will helps us to communicate effectively with the other people in our English-speaking country. Getting hold of the right job is not an easy task. Even though we are Indonesian, English is still important. In Indonesia, studying English in school gets us good grades and good grades lead us to a good job in the future, at least we have bravery and confidence with English. Very few people stick to the same job throughout their life. If we are ambitious one, we will keep looking for more lucrative and challenging jobs elsewhere. Career development is a continuous process due to the changes in society and environment. It’s good to contribute our skill to our country. Not only make our life more comfortable or live with a fame, but also for a pride of our country. ( hmmm...proud to be Indonesian. 8-) ). Everyone has an own uniqueness. Such as Cinta Laura or Agnes Monica..Hwaaa.… I want to be like them, Indonesian but know English very well. ;-). Many people say that English is not important for future, and jeer people who practice English in their life, called them conceited (as Indonesian say “keminggris”). Hmm..just wanna say, they got nothin’ on you guys. Words can bring us down. Even future is a secret, one thing, life is a choice.
I want to become a part of world. Even I can’t be a miss world. (heheee… ). Learn English is a decision. You want it or not, that’s your choice. But for me, there ain’t no time to waste. I’m sure that English will help me to achieve my goal future. So yes, I definitely think that learning English is necesarry to make me a successful professional. Every little thing I do, never seems enough for me without English in it. I always try to find the better part of me, cause I live and learn. I learn from my mistakes, my experiences, and the other people’s experiences. I don’t wanna lose a chance to learn English. There comes a day, when my parents finally get to proud of somebody, guess what? It’s gonna be me. (overconfidence, but must be like that ^^v )
